Isonova wins the Luxury Packaging Awards 2017 in the Food
Category with its ISOLAM BOX, isothermal box designed for Gelaterie Milanesi

London, 13th September 2017 – The award ceremony at the Luxury Packaging Awards 2017 has recognized the Italian company Isonova as producer of Best Food Packaging, thanks to the project Ice Cream Pralines ISOLAM BOX in LAMINIL® commissioned by Gelaterie Milanesi, the small chain of high quality ice cream shops in Milan.
ISONOVA’s Sales & Marketing Director, Laura Schellino, collected the award on the night.
Gelaterie Milanesi was looking for a packaging which could ensure thermal protection for their product and at the same time offer personalization to create a refined pack in line with the brand image
ISOLAM BOX, iso-thermal box easy-mount of the LAMINIL® range by Isonova, offered the right solution for this project: at the moment of purchase the ice cream is at a temperature of – 12°. The isothermal box allows to preserve the product temperature for a long enough period of time to allow the product to arrive at destination without melting.
The pack offers an option with internal shelf to separate 2 layers of pralines and another option to fit only one layer.
The design concept has been developed by the designer Giulia Rosa Valenti, who has created a linear and contemporary design to portray a product unique in its kind, an ice cream praline covered with different types of natural and tasty toppings, like for instance the pistachio and hazelnuts.
The isothermal boxes are light and are delivered flat, ready cut but not mounted to reduce storing space. They are assembled in a few moves when packing the products.
ISOLAM BOX wins the challenge of functionality as well as the look and image and replaces the old-fashioned thermoformed containers for the take away ice cream.
